Our Eternal Life

Our heritage as Christians is much deeper than history would have you to believe. As the people of God we have been through many trials. Revelation pointed to trials that ended just a few short years ago in 1793! Since that time we have moved into the era of the final church...Laodicea...the lukewarm church.

We MUST rise above the lukewarmness in the world around and live for God as HE has called us to do!

A Diligent Christian

Thursday Night's sermon dealt with the issue of diligence. Diligence is something urgently needed in the Church today. With it, we can grow as Peter told us to. Without it, we will at most be lukewarm and rejected by God. May you be encouraged as you listen about diligence.

Cutting in the Wrong Forest

This is the Wednesday night sermon from the Oak Grove Meeting in 2009. The theme of the entire meeting is "One With God". Jesus prayed for us to be one with God, one with Him, and one with each other. This particular sermon investigates the concept of standing behind a banner that differentiates us from denominations rather than standing behind the banner of Christ! This follows the "Disconnected Doctrine" so you may want to watch that one first.

Remember that we can do nothing without His authority, but we shouldn't shy away from doing what is in His authority out of fear of looking like a denomination!

Disconnected Doctrine

This is the Tuesday night sermon from Oak Grove's 2009 Gospel Meeting. I hope to post the rest sometime, but this one is recorded in a different way that made it easier to post as a video.

The point of this sermon is for us to consider our ways when it comes to doctrine and the application of that doctrine. It covers topics such as communion, worship, love, and marriage. It's a smorgasbord of topics, but makes a serious point about what we do with doctrine.

Why did I need to be saved?

Perhaps you don't understand what this salvation thing is all about. You are a good person, you don't hurt anyone, you keep to yourself, you don't drink (or if you do you don't drink too much). By all measures, you are a great person! So why did you need to be saved? Perhaps this short video will help you understand what a terrible situation you are in without Jesus!

May 2009: Champs Again!

When God created Adam and Eve, they were not susceptible to death. Yet, when they ate from the tree that God told them not to, they chose death over God! Now you and I live in a world suffering from the effects of that single choice! We get sick, we get old, and we die…all because they chose death over God! It doesn’t seem fair that we all suffer because of their sin, does it? However, we all have sinned, and thereby chosen death over God. Friend, today we have power over death and victory over the grave again! Jesus overcame death and He wants you to be able to do the same!

If you are interested in learning how to have this power over death through Jesus Christ, please give us a call at 877-357-8731! We will be more than happy to tell you about this wonderful story!

It's Not All About Me

Sometimes it is easy to fall into a rut of doing things for all the wrong reasons. Romans 12:2 clearly shows us that everything we do in life should be to show others God's perfect will! Application lends itself to the way we work, the type of spouse/parent we are, how dependable/trustworthy we are, etc.

This sermon was given on May 3, 2009 in hopes that it would help someone. Maybe it will help you, too. May we all strive to bring glory to God!
